The Atomik UK International Moth is the first production moth from Atomik UK.
The design made it's first public appearance in prototype form at the HISC world championships in 2014 piloted by Irish sailor John Chambers. Phil Oligario was at the same World Championships competing on his homebuilt custom designed hull and prototype foils. He met with the designer and began discussing the possibility of taking on production.
Since then, Atomik UK have been hard at work re defining the platform with several modifications to the deck layout and the overall package including bowsprit and other elements that are on the production boat.
The Macita foil is designed by Luka Damic and David Lister of Australia and is an integral part of the Atomik moth project. David Lister is arguably the fastest moth sailor in the world. The foil won the 2013 World Championships in Hawaii in the hands of double Moth World Champion Bora Gulari. It's fast, technical and rewarding when you get it right.
